PROOF
(Multi-Pose) |
|
With this system that is growing in
popularity and favor with parents more each year, every child in the school
is photographed on picture day with a standard yearbook-friendly head &
shoulders pose, PLUS another different pose that parents may choose to order
also. Shortly following photo day, we return the school special individual
student order forms with TWO different small low-resolution proof pictures
on it per student, sorted by classroom. Teachers then distribute these proof
forms to all the individual students in their class who bring them home for
parents to review and return them to the class one week later with payment
and order selection(s) marked. Teachers gather all proof forms from every
student (whether they are buying portraits or not, ALL proofs MUST
be returned) and place them in a class order envelope and return it to the
school office. Once all teachers have turned in their classes proof order
forms, the school calls our studio to request a pick-up or can mail the
entire lot back to us in a prepaid mailer if requested. We then sort, enter,
and process all package orders and final portraits are delivered back to the
school sorted by classroom and the school is provided a detailed accounting
report showing what was ordered and all monies collected. Absentee students
and any requests for retakes are done at an absentee day scheduled after
proofs have been delivered back to the school. Final portraits ordered are
returned directly to the school, sorted for easy delivery by classroom. The
school is issued their commission check by mail after final absentee proof
orders are returned to us following your scheduled absentee portrait day.

PROS:
 |
We take more than one pose of each
student - we do the traditional yearbook portrait and then another
different style pose that many parents prefer to order. |
 |
Parents love being able to preview the
actual images before ordering and often decide to order both poses. |
 |
Very highest order average of any of our
programs, which means more money collected and more commissions paid
to your school over the other program choices. |
|
CONS:
 |
Photography takes slightly longer per
class with an extra pose - usually 5-10 minutes extra per class.
|
 |
More time and labor intensive for school
staff as teachers track and collect all proof order forms back from
students by a deadline day and parents are often "forgetful" about
returning proofs and may require teachers to send multiple reminder
notices home. |
 |
Increased accounting tasks as school
office must be sure ALL proof order forms are returned whether parents
order or not and then collect and assemble all class order envelopes for
return. |
 |
Chance of order forms or money being
misplaced or stolen as there are usually large amounts of money collected
once proofs are returned to teachers and school office. Some schools are
uncomfortable being responsible for large amounts of cash in their care or
school building. |
 |
Final portraits take longer to come back
to the school than pre-pay orders due to the time required to collect
proof order forms back from parents before orders are placed with the lab. |

PROOF - (Single Pose) |

PROS:
 | The main advantage to this system is mostly that
parents can preview the actual image before ordering.
|
|
CONS:
 | More time and labor intensive as teachers track and
collect all proof order forms back from students by a deadline day and
parents are often "forgetful" about returning proofs and may require
teachers to send multiple reminder notices home. |

 | Final portraits take longer to come back to the
school than pre-pay orders due to the time required to collect proof order
forms back from parents before orders are placed with the lab. |
 | Single proof program has the lowest buy rate
when used for traditional fall portraits which means less money
collected and less commission paid to your school. If you prefer a proof
program, we strongly encourage you to consider the multi-pose program
instead as it involves the same exact amount of work as a single pose
program but generally sells more portraits, so it will generate more sales
for your school. |
